Tim received has B.A in Engineering from Cambridge University and MPhil in Engineering and Entrepreneurship from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He been working in the inudustry developing machine learning medical diagnosis products, from ECG heart attack detection smartwatch as part of his startup company Heartisans, to colonoscopy polyp detection at a surgical robotics company. He is currently pursuing a PhD in computer science at UC Irvine. His main interests are spiking neural network training, neuromorphic hardware, and brain inspired computing.
